Reservations and confirmations

We advice you to book a seat in advance at any agency of the airline or a travel company. As you arrive at the final or a transit point of your travel where you are going to stop, you should confirm your further flight at an agency or a representative office no less than 72 hours. Otherwise your reservation may be cancelled.

Travel documents

You will get information on documents required for your travel from the operator upon buying your air ticket. However, this information is of a reference character, and you can get official information only at the consulate of the country of your destination.

The passenger must observe all laws, regulations, rules and instructions of the authorities of any country from, to or through which he or she will travel, concerning passport, customs, currency, sanitary, quarantine control and other formalities, as well as all the relevant rules and instructions of aeroflot. As you are going to make an air trip, do not forget to take with you your passport, visa and other documents necessary to enter the country.

Check-in

Each airport has its own check-in time rules. For instance, at Sheremetyevo-2 passenger check-in begins 2 hours and 30 minutes and its deadline is forty minutes before the departure. Do not forget to find out about the check-in time as you buy your ticket, otherwise you may turn up late and the airline has the right to dispose of your seat at its own discretion. As certain special rules may exist in the country of your destination, we advise you upon buying an air ticket or reconfirming the reservation to ask about check-in procedure details there.

Business class

The passengers in the business class will be offered a higher level of comfort and services. More space between seats will make your flight more comfortable. With exquisite cuisine and first-class wines you will enjoy even a lengthy flight. These categories of passengers will be offered other additional services: a special check-in counter will be reserved for them, they will be the first to board and leave the plane, and while on board more personnel will provide services to them. If the passenger so wishes (only in case of an individual trip) additional seats can be booked (with payment in accordance with the class booked) with free carriage of baggage.

Economy class

The passengers having an economy class ticket (full or special fare) are offered meals, including juice and beverages, depending on the time of departure, duration and route of the flight. You wilt also be offered a wide choice of newspapers, magazines and other publications and duty-free goods.

Special meals

Aeroflot offers for passengers a wide choice of special meals: low-calories, low-alkaline, Muslim, kosher, vegetarian (3 types) etc. Special meals should be ordered upon ticket issuing (a special note must be made on the ticket), but no less than 36 hours before the flight, and reconfirmed at check-in.

Travelling with children

A child under two is enclsPTitled to a ticket at a 90% discount (without a separate seat and free carriage of baggage). The passenger, if he or she so wishes, can book a special seat for a child, and in that case a ticket for a child under 12 will be issued.

One adult passenger can take one child under two at a 90% discount. For the second and more children under two, air tickets for children under 12 will be issued. As a rule, a child under 12 can have anair ticket at a 50% discount on the normal (full) adult ticket fare. Discounts on special fares are governed by special rules. The ticket provides for a seat and free car-riage of baggage according to the class. Children under two must be accompanied by adults.

Babies under 10 months and below 10 kg of weight may be provided for the flight with a special cradle, which should be ordered together with booking tickets, but no less than 24 hours before the flight. Passengers with babies will be provided with necessary conveniences to change napkins. Children under 12 can travel on their own. Care for them is one of the personnel's duties. In that case a special application for carrying an unaccompanied child under 12 and a declaration by the child's par-ents must be filled in at the airport.

Under the law on the procedure of exit and entry to the russian federation, children under 18, flying unaccompanied by adults, must have a notary certified consent to leave the parents, tutors, adopters or guardians.

Travelling with animals

If you want to take your pet with you on board a plane, you must inform the operator when booking your ticket (a special note will be made in your ticket). You will have to arrive to the airport well in advance to have your pet registered. Pets (cats, dogs, birds) are carried in special cages (containers) provided by the passenger, and ani-mals of less than 8 kg can be taken into the cabin upon the carrier's permission, and those above 8 kg can fly only in the baggage compartment.

Payment for carriage of animals is the same as for extra baggage whether you have other baggage or not, and the animal's weight together with the container is not included in baggage weight allowed to be taken free of charge. Valuation charge of 175 CAD is applied. If total weight of the pet to be carried exceeds free allowance, the passengers has to contact Aeroflot for confirmation.

Objects you can take on board with you

Generally, you can take anything, except substances and objects classified in international practice as"dangerous", a list of which is printed in your ticket. Weapons and portable radio transmitters are allowed with passengers only if they have a special permit. Special baggage, for example, musical instruments, can be taken into the cabin or even travel in their "own" seats, provided there is an additional ticket.

Hand luggage

Under the established rules, a passenger is allowed to take with him or her one piece of non-checked luggage, but its weight is included into the allowed free carriage norm. The non-checked luggage shall not exceed the established size, i.e. Should fit into luggage lockers or under the seat. Since the size of luggage lockers and seats differ in different types of planes you should be prepared to be asked to send it to the baggage compartment.

A passenger may take with him or her over and above the baggage allowed for free carriage: a lady's purse or a document case; printed matter for reading during the flight; baby food and a travelling cradle; an umbrella or a walking-stick, coat or a raincoat; a folding wheelchair and/or a pair of crutches if a passenger needs them.
